A vacation plan should not leave usable days behind just because the remaining allowance does not fit neatly into a full working week. It should also show its strongest suggestion first, rather than making you shuffle until you find it.
The planner now considers smaller parts of each working-week bridge, including individual workdays. That means it can use those awkward final days and, when there is no larger holiday bridge available, place a day beside a weekend to create a simple three-day break.
The best suggestion comes first
Suggestions are now ranked by the total number of days off they create. When two plans produce the same number of days off, the one using more of your requested vacation allowance comes first. Shuffling continues through the ranked alternatives, while locked days and your other calendar choices remain intact.
Monthly caps work with the rest of your plan
A monthly cap no longer has to reject an entire multi-day bridge. The planner can select a smaller valid part of that bridge and continue using eligible days elsewhere, without exceeding the cap you set.
Monthly caps, protected days, and explicitly selected minimum and maximum range lengths remain firm constraints. If those settings leave no way to use the whole allowance, the planner returns the best feasible suggestion instead of breaking your rules.
More flexible defaults
New plans start with a 3–21 day range preference, making room for both three-day weekend breaks and longer holidays. You can still narrow these limits in Advanced constraints whenever you want a more specific kind of trip.
Try it
Open the planner, enter your vacation allowance, and run an optimization. The first suggestion will be the one with the most days off. Add a monthly cap or shuffle through the alternatives to see how the planner redistributes your days while respecting your settings.
