Vacation plans do not always begin on January 1. Your leave allowance might renew on a different date, or you may simply be planning a season that runs across New Year. The planner now lets you choose the exact period you want to optimize.
Choose your dates
In the planner, select Edit beside the year. Choose a start date and the end date is filled in automatically to create a full planning year. The planner uses the months you choose: it starts on the first day of the start month and ends on the last day of the end month.
The selected year of each picker is retained while the server uses the full month boundaries. For example, a January 15, 2026 start and January 14, 2027 end covers January 1, 2026 through January 31, 2027. Holidays, weekends, custom free days, locked days, and monthly caps continue to work across the whole period, so a December-to-January break is planned as one continuous calendar.
You can also pick a period longer than one calendar year — for example, May 2026 through April 2028 — when your planning cycle spans two years.
Plan on your schedule
Use it for a school year, allowance cycle, or any other month-to-month planning year. To return to a normal calendar year, select Reset to Year.

Open the planner, choose your country and leave allowance, then select Edit next to the year. Pick the months that match your real planning cycle and let the optimizer find the best long breaks within it.
